In accordance with the Nigeria Customs Act, all vessels or equipment being imported in Nigeria under the Temporary Import Permit law, the vessel or equipment. The Customs Bond must be processed with a Nigeria Bank or Insurance company. Though the Customs Agent is responsible in registering the Custom Bond obtained from a local bank with the Nigeria Customs before the vessel or equipment commences operation. Also at the expiration of the operating / project or at the expiration of the TIP, the Customs Bond must be cancelled with the Nigeria Customs before the vessel or equipment is allowed to exit Nigeria.
